Eye Pulsing Closeup 2009 11 14 21 27 08

February 9th, 2010

I have noticed pulsing in my left eyes image since I had orbital eye surgery around 1990. The week before November 13th 2009 I used my vision way too long and I had a great increase in my visual problems that I always have, and I had wild fluttering of the image. By the time I looked in a mirror the fluttering had ceased but I noticed that for the first time ever I could actually see my eye pulsing in the mirror. In the video the ability to see the pulsing occurrs in irregular intervals. After my orbital surgery the pulsing in my left eye did not cause vocational problems; I received 7 management promotions over the next ten years, but when my dominant right eye got eye cancer the pulsing image jumps in my left eye became very disruptive to my life. The eye lash and eye jumps you see in the video are in sync with my pulse, but I also have additional jumps that are not in sync with my pulse and can occur in rapid flurries. I would understand how someone looking at the video might think that the pulsing you can see might not cause a major problem, but this causes me to repeatedly have a significant jump in my image. Unless you have experienced this I think it might be very hard to understand how disruptive it is to have your image repeatedly jumping.

Then Paul is joined by Dr. David Bearman, of Galeta, CA, who tells of the fear that patients feel when encountering an cancer like Glioma. Paul has collected the latest research on medical Cannabis, available in a PDF or booklet at: norml.org We also talk about Cannabis in the treatment of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and the documentary I’m doing on Cathy Jordan, a medical marijuana patient who has survived ALS for 22 years now!
