Tata was already a fifteen -year veteran of the United States War on Drugs when she traded a decade of freedom to fight with her husband during the final days of his battle with liver cancer. Tata and Angel met in a court mandated drug program. The rehab came with an alternative; 5-10 years if Tata left early. A diagnosis of terminal cancer got Angel released and Tata had to choose.

Ever since i can remember it was either neighbours, family or friends around me that have passed away from cancer. My life I have feared the disease until my 16th birthday…my life has changed drastically since then. When I turned 16 i found out i was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. My friends and family came to visit me from time to time, But the only person who was truly and always there for me was my girlfriend/bestfriend miley. Whenever she came I felt like there was hope in living… she would always tell me that I would get out soon and me and her would go celebrate. But that…that was 2 years ago…I’m now 18 and also have developed stage 4 liver cancer. I have been going to chemo and it doesn’t seem to be working. Basically only my mom, my brother joe, and miley still visit me in the hospital….I guess everyone else is afraid that I’m too fragile and could break me. But I miss everyone else too. Even though I’m losing hair, and becoming skinny like a toothpick miley still loves me the same as before the cancers. But infront of the only people who do come to visit..which is everyday now, I put on an act, like the cancers aren’t hurting me…but the truth is..they’re killing me. And everyone knows it, I overheard the doctors talking about me 3 1/2 months ago saying that i only had 4 months to live. At this point i really didn’t care…i was kinda happy actually, no more pain and suffering. Right now i’m watching the doctors tell the only people who truly love …
